Ayurveda is like Mother
There are so many Ayurvedic Medicines in the market that people got confused, which to take and which do not? Everyone wants to be safe from Coronavirus, so we have to take necessary precautionary measures. A perfect diet is also an Ayurvedic Medicine.
The government of India formed Ministry of AYUSH which includes Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy. Ministry of AYUSH issue two AYUSH certificates – AYUSH Premium and AYUSH Standard to the medicines related to these departments.
In our Shastras (scriptures), Ayurveda is addressed as mother. ‘शतं वो अम्ब धामानि सहस्त्रमुत वो रूह: | अधा शतक्रत्वो यूयमिमं मे अंगद कृत|’ Meaning – O Mothers, you have hundreds of powers and your growth is also in thousands. O medicines that have the power of one-hundred percent strength, you must certainly cure this sick man of mine. This phrase from Veda is unique. Hence, whatever Ayurvedic medicine has been prescribed at this time, take it with this reverence because now all the rounds are passing slowly, taking new form.
Now, the problem is that every company claims that their Ayurvedic Medicines are the best available in the market. But, are they? Who am I or who are you to judge them? But, Ministry of AYUSH certifies that which Ayurvedic medicine is best by providing the AYUSH Premium or AYUSH Standard Mark. AYUSH Premium mark is the elite class. An AYUSH mark is decided by the permissible level of contaminants like heavy metals, aflatoxins, pesticide residues, microbial contamination etc. in the medicine.
